The Sporting News released their list of Top Ten Free-Agent Wide Receivers last week. L-Meezy shows up at the #3 spot behind T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Antonio Bryant. Not mad at that…
Here’s what they said about Moore:
3. Lance Moore, New Orleans Saints
Injuries to Saints receivers thrust Moore into a starting role, and he responded to the challenge in fine fashion. He had 10 games with at least five catches and produced three 100-yard games. His quickness and burst make him a perfect fit for the Saints’ quick-hitting passing attack, so he could thrive in places like Arizona or New England where he could get the ball in his hands quickly and have an opportunity to work in space. He’s a talented player who can have an impact, despite his lack of size.
People are always hating on his size, but hasn’t let it get in his way since high school. And if you saw his London soccer slide, you know his TD celebrations will be talked about even more in ‘09. Hard-working, talented, AND knows how to work the crowd.
**Bonus video: Moore getting busy on MNF vs. Green Bay (2 TD’s, 115 yds. I was at this game, and it was an amazing display by Westerville’s finest)
