I love videos that have the continuous shot — reminds me of Henry Hill in Goodfellas walkin in the back of the club through the kitchen to the front table. Holt does his version of Henry’s entrance at a Chicago house party, mixed with a little NERD-influenced video styling. Holt will definitely run into the Pharell comparisons if he hasn’t already. jason – i was actually thinking of NERD’s Lap Dance video from 2002, and wasn’t trying to downplay what Hollywood is doin — but if you think there won’t be Pharell comparisons, please pass that to the left so I can have some. I haven’t personally hung out with Hollywood or Phar-REAL, so I can’t say what lives they lead. But I can say I like both of their styles and videos… and something tells me that Pharell does have parties like the “Frontin’” video with red Solo cups and people skateboarding on an indoor half-pipe.
