Oh, Highlights. All the doctor and dentist appointments you got me through. I remember getting yelled at because it was time for my appointment, but I HAD to find the last hidden object in the black & white picture.

In this big picture find the whale, butterfly, George Washington’s head, rooster, otter, sailboat, Triceratops, dog’s head, squirrel, feather, pigeon, celery, eagle, and ice skate.
From Wikipedia:
Hidden Pictures first appeared in the June 1946 issue of Highlights and has appeared on page 14 in every issue since. Children must find the smaller hidden pictures within the larger picture.
For those of you wanting to replay childhood, you can do online Hidden Pictures HERE. It’s not quite the same as the hard copy, but it will still bring you back.
- Yes, Photo Hunt is great for adults to play at bars, but no, it will never surpass Highlights Hidden Pictures, even with gratuitous nudity.
- Yes, Highlights for Children © is based in Columbus, Ohio (where I grew up), but no, I don’t have any friends that work there….. yet. Steve?

Highlights! WONDERFUL!
Oh, and you can’t forget the stickers and posters that came with the magazine. I could probably sift around my parent’s house and find a stack of Highlights mags.
Highlights…I used to suck at that shit. I was more tuned into the random music at the doctor/dentist office. Go figure.
I absolutely remember these, Romer, however I have not yet pursued my career at Highlights Magazine. I’ll keep you updated.
